It`s a known fact that most people over 60 years old have a hard hearing due to their age. People that grow old besides losing their hearing, their ability to move , to speak or to understand. This is very normal, but there are also deaf people at a younger age. Some have been born like this and haven`t gain back their hearing and others were born normal but after some problems they have lost their hearing. Hearing Problems common Causes are : otitis, lots of fluid in the middle ear, wax block aging the outer ear, head injury can also affect the hearing, damaged eardrum or ear infections.



Other problems that can cause hear loss are : ageing, being exposed to a loud noise that usually causes an acoustic trauma, certain pills, drugs or treatments that are very powerful can cause hearing loss and also strokes, brain tumours or sclerosis can be an important factor in losing your hearing ability. Those little children that are born deaf or become deaf at the age of 3, are probably in this way because of birth complications or some inherited problems. Moms that carry a child should be very careful what they eat, what they do , during the childs formation. Also problems that run in the family should be taken in consideration when thinking of conceiving a child.

Those who think they might lose their hearing should go consult a doctor. There are some special tests to see if you are really losing your hearing like : whispering a text or rubbing two forks against each other so that they make a bad sound. In this way the doctor can see which level of deafness are you in. There is no cure for Hearing Loss but there are special ways through which people can learn to communicate. Many old people use hearing aids that are putted into the ear to help them hear better, but those who are completely deaf can try cochlear implant also known as bionic ear.

Most people that can`t hear learn how to lip read and lip reading in combination with a cochlear implant can make  your hearing more easy and your communication with others. Some say that using the cochlear implant they can hear music too. It`s very hard to not hear, to lose one of the most used senses. But, people learn to adapt in any situation and even if it`s quite hard they don`t give up. In some cases hearing loss can be just temporary, because of a small infection or injury that can be treated. If the infection is well treated and the recovery is quick there can be the possibility of recovering your hearing. In the end, people should take the doctors advice and never play too much with year plugs. The ear is a sensitive part of your body, and because it`s small it can be easily hurt.
