One of the most important Issues About Health Problem in the Philippines is the constant fight with tuberculosis. This disease causes many deaths a year and also affects the economic and social conditions of the country. Tuberculosis is a deadly disease caused usually by mycobacteria. Tuberculosis can be spread through air, spit or sneeze. Symptoms include chest pain, coughing up blood, cough for more than three weeks. Also people can have fever, loss of appetite, chills etc. Many of the poor countries are affected by tuberculosis and there is also a segment of people that also get tuberculosis, not because they have a poor life, but because of their life style meanings, taking drugs, not eating healthy etc.

The most common causes for catching tuberculosis in the Philippines are : the lack of hygiene, poor economy, poverty, social conditions, previous diseases and post war conditions. The govern has taken some measurements in preventing the infection with tuberculosis. The health system has opened more hospitals, dispensaries for everyone to come and gather information on how to avoid, how to take care themselves in case of tuberculosis. This has become a national problem and each institution is fighting to solve the problem. During the Japanese occupation, the population cought tuberculosis due to the lack of food, worries and side effects, injuries created by the japanese etc.

Other Issues About Health Problem in the Philippines are malnutrition, drug abuse, malaria etc. The Government in Philippines needs to have a better health programs in order to teach people ways to avoid infections and to take care of themselves. Malnutrition is most often encountered at little kids and a solution came through food assistance. The poverty affects everyone and so, while the living standards are way down the problems multiply. For drug addiction, there have been financed many rehabilitation centers to help those with this problem.

Poor countries attract many problems. AIDS is also a serious problem because few people make a routine control, usually they don`t go to the doctor unless it hurts and so, there can be many people that carry the disease and spread it to others without knowing. The cost of medicines is also a problem. Because the medicines cost too much, many can`t afford and don`t get cured. The government has changed some things and their health care department has made some improvements. Nowadays even the natality has grown a few percentages and because of the many health centers opened in different areas people have learned to take care of themselves. In the end, sanitary problems and health care problems can be fixed with interest and attention.
